Day 1 KAMPALA - LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

 Very early in the morning and will be transferred Kampala for breakfast and drive across the Equator through Uganda's rolling green hills to Lake Mburo National Park. We shall have lunch, we will do a boat ride on Lake Mburo and a late afternoon game drive in search of zebra, impala, eland, topi, oribi, cape buffalos, and with luck, Roan antelopes, leopards, hyenas and jackals. Dinner and over night at Mantana Luxury tented camp/ Rwomyo Rest Camp.

 

Day 2 TRANSFER TO BWINDI GORILLA PARK

 After an early breakfast at the lodge, we head through the country sides of Kanungu and continue on to Bwindi, Impenetrable Forest National Park, home of the mountain gorillas. In the evening we shall walk to the nearby community for a cultural performance. We overnight at GORILLA FOREST CAMP/ GORILLA RESORT CAMP /Buhoma Community Bandas

 

Day 3 GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI GORILLA FOREST

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to roughly half of the world's 650 mountain gorillas. We will start hiking early with the game rangers and do your best to find them - but remember, there is no guarantee because this is nature and the time taken hiking depends on the movement of these apes! The gorillas are shy, peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph these gentle giants at close range. We return to the lodge for dinner and over night.

 

Day4 SAFARI THROUGH ISHASHA IN QUEEN ELIZABETH

After breakfast we will leave Bwindi early and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park.  We'll pass through the southern sector of the park known as Ishasha, famed for its tree-climbing lions. This National Park is a UNESCO World Biosphere and has one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in the world! Almost 100 mammal species and a remarkable 606 bird species can be found. Elephants, Lots of hippos, the elusive giant forest hog and the handsome Uganda kob all regularly sighted.  In the afternoon, we will take a visit to the crater regions. Dinner at the Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge / Institute of Ecology

 

Day 5 THE KYAMBURA GORGE

Wake up very early in the morning and transfer to Kyambura wildlife Reserve which harbors  3 brackish caters lakes which attract a number of flamingos not found anywhere in Uganda. The sheer Kyambura Gorge formed by the tumultuous waters of the roaring Kyambura River gives a luxuriant riverine forest, home to chimpanzees, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys and other primates as well as a copiousness of forest birds. A guided nature walk takes you into the gorge, which is very deep covered by a natural rain forest. Proceed to the Lodge for lunch and later visit the Katwe Salt works. Dinner and Overnight at the Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge / Institute of Ecology

 

Day 6 THE LAUNCH CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL

Morning game drive and back to the lodge for mid morning break fast and lunch. In the afternoon go for the launch cruise along the Kazinga channel. This will expose you to diversity of schools of hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species. Back to the lodge for dinner and over night.

 

Day 7 CHIMP TRACKING IN KIBALE PRIMATES FOREST

After a brief morning game drive, we depart after breakfast and enjoy game viewing en-route toward Kibale Forest National Park. Take lunch In the afternoon we drive into Kibale Forest National Park to hike with a guide who will provide a detailed explanation of the primates we are likely to see as well as the forest's fauna and flora. On our half-day hike we will look for chimpanzees, phoestes, red-colobuses and red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys. Dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge / Mountains of the moon Inn / Rwenzori View guest House/ Kanyankyu Tourist cantre.

 

Day 8 MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK  

Drive to Murchison Falls national park   visit the Top of the falls top of the falls where the White Nile is plunged into a 7 metre wide rock gorge on its way to the Albert Nile. So stunning!!! Dinner and Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Nile Safari Camp/ Sambiya River Lodge / Red Chillis Camp.

 

Day 9 WILDLIFE SAFARI IN MURCHISON FALLS & THE NILE LAUNCH CRUISE

 An early Morning game drive and an after Noon launch cruise. Wake up very early in the morning and take a cup of coffee as you prepare for an early morning game drive in the Northern part of Murchison falls national park.  In this cool morning before the sun rises too high , you will expect encounters of   herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Rothschild’s giraffe, prides of lions,  the Illusive leopard,  Oribis, Hartebeests, Waterbucks, Kobs, watch elephants as they graze on the grassy hillsides  and many bird species like the Nightjar.  Back in time for late breakfast. Then after relax as you wait for lunch.  In the afternoon, you will take a launch cruise along the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls, watch families of Hippos relaxing by the Nile bank, Nile crocodiles will be incubating eggs, as lots of birds stand on the backs of these mammals. You will to the lodge for dinner and over night.

 

Day 10 WHITE WATER RAFTING ON THE NILE

Drive back to Kampala and proceed to Jinja for your next day’s tour activity which will be white water rafting. Dinner at Jinja Nile Resort / Gately on the Nile.

 

Day 11 HALF DAY RAFTING &THE SOURCE OF THE NILE

Indulge in a half day rafting  have lunch and then after visit the source of the Nile take a boat trip to the actual point then after  you will be transferred to Kampala SERENA HOTEL./ Grand Imperial Hotel / Tourist Hotel
 

Day 12 KAMPALA HERITAGE SITES TOUR

On this day, we will go for a city tour around the historical, heritage and cultural sites of Kampala city. This tour takes you around the big mosques of Uganda, Kasubi tombs, the burial place of the past kings of Uganda. Have early lunch then transfer to the airport for your next flight back home.

  • Bookings for safaris should be made atleast three months in advance to facilitate reserve of permits

  • A 30% deposit is required for all tours and should be either wired on our account or paid directly using credit cards . However, for credit card payments a 10% sur charge is deducted on authorization for the deposit deduction .

ACCOMMODATION DESCRIPTION

 

In terms of accommodation, the price quote given is based on the budget and up market options. The budget type of accommodation is in basic facilities such as hotels/lodges which are structures built separate from each other and may not be self contained. In most cases these are simple basic accommodation units with clean but shared facilities such as bathrooms and toilets. Meals can either be served from canteens in some cases or in the Dinning rooms. While with the up market option, accommodation is in self contained facilities (hotels and lodges) with standard services and meals. Nevertheless,comfort is a guarantee in all.
