20 DAYS GORILLA TOUR.

Zziwa Rhino sanctuary, Bwindi NP, Murchison Falls Np, Queen Elizabeth Np, Buggala Island, Kibale Np, Semliki Np, L. Bunyonyi, Bwindi Np and Jinja.

Day 1  ARRIVAL AT THE AIR PORT

Our Tour Company representative will pick you from the airport on arrival after check up at 2015hrs. The guide will take you around a forex bureau at the airport so that you change your money then after transfer you HUMURAH HOTEL / KAMPALA SERENA HOTEL .

DAY 2 DRIVE TO THE RHINO SANCTUARY

 After breakfast, he will drive you towards Masindi and enter Zziwa White Rhino arriving at around mid morning. You will relax at the site then take lunch. After which you will go for rhino tracking.   This will take around 4 hours before you proceed for dinner and overnight at New Court View Hotel./ MASINDI HOTEL

Day 3 FROM ZZIWA RHINOS SANCTUARY TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

From Zziwa you will head to Murchison Falls National Park. Assemble at Kaniyo Pabid for your Chimp tracking in this forest. You will expect a lot of primates like the Black and white Colobus monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, baboons , Chimpanzee. Take lunch and then after you will drive to the top of the magnificent falls. So wondrous! Marvel at the robust Nile as it is farfetched into a seven-meter abyss to rumble 45 meters below. Check the series of cascades it forms, which can be viewed at different points up to the culmination. Transfer to Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chillis camp.

Day 4 MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Wake up early morning for breakfast; drive towards  The Albert Nile and cross the river using the Ferry. Set for a game drive on the northern Bank of the Nile River in search of Rothschild Giraffe, Elephant, Jackson Hartebeest, Lions, Waterbucks and a variety of Savannah woodland birds. Take lunch and go for an afternoon Launch cruise along the Victoria Nile. Expect hippos and crocodiles along the River banks as you take this ride to the bottom of the falls.  Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chillis camp.

 

Day 5 MURCHISON FALLS - FORT PORTAL

Depart Murchison Falls after an early breakfast. Head for Fort Portal, the area where
Semliki & Kibale Forest National Parks are situated.  Have Lunch en route then proceed to Kibale National park. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/Rwenzori view guest house/Kanyankyu Tourist Centre .

Day 6 FORT PORTAL - SEMLIKI - FORT PORTAL

Retreat early after breakfast for the crown and hot springs. This will be the day in the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rainforest.  The visit to the villages has proven to be an interesting cultural experience. The guide will carry packed lunch for you who he will serve at the Picnic while you experience the TRUE AFRICA! Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to Fort Portal. You will arrive in the evening then take dinner and an overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge/ Rwenzori View guest House.

 Day 7 KIBALE NATIONAL PARK.

Take breakfast early morning. Leave for Kibale Forest National Park, this is commonly accepted to have a superlative diversity and highest massing of primates in East Africa. Relish a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest evergreen in exploration of the Hot springs, black white colobus monkeys, wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, butterflies of different species and many others. Have a luncheon, then go to the Crater Lake region and view the various Crater Lakes. Repose as you watch a traditional talent group dance. The get back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Rwenzori View Guest House/ Kanyankyu Tourist Center.

 Day 8 KIBALE - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK.

Shift to Queen Elizabeth National Park where we take on a morning game drive in search of the wild game view a beautiful panorama of the great lakes of lake Edwards and lake George, then also their gutter. The great Kazinga channel. Drive to , take your accommodation at Mweya safari lodge. Expect elephants, lions, buffaloes, kobs, the Python, hyenas, warthogs, birds' hippos etc. A buffet lunch is organized at Tembo Restaurant. At either 15.00 or 17.00 hrs we take a boat -cruise along Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George., expect to get exposed to a bird sin abundance both typical and migrants and the highest concentration of hippos in Africa. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (luxury)/ Jacana Safari Lodge/ Institute of Ecology.

 

Day 9 QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK.

Early in the morning after breakfast Mweya safari lodge take a walk to the ground of the Uganda Kob. Search for lions in their natural habitat, as well as elephants, buffaloes etc. before returning for lunch. After stretching our legs, we visit the bat cave and hunters' cave where we take a close look at the bats, rock python and forest cobras. The same walk will provide a chance of seeing birds, primates,
 tree species etc. Dinner and overnight at your lodge .
         

 Day 10 QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - L.BUNYONYI.

After breakfast, driving through grassland area, instantly we come across an amazing gorge of tropical rainforest 100 meters deep. Trek into Kyambura River Gorge for an extraordinary; experience hiking chimpanzees. It's so remunerative to see the ravishing river valley, home of many birds and butterfly species.   You will take a drive to Ishasha and have lunch at Ishasha picnic sites. You will then have a
game drive through Ishasha sector to encounter the tree climbing lions and proceed  to L.Bunyonyi for dinner and take a boat ride for overnight at  Habuharo Island Camp/ Bushara Island Camp.

Day 11 L.BUNYONYI

Take breakfast and we shall walk to the island villages to see the real village life. We can organize with the pygmies and have a visit to their island villages and then return to Habuharo Island for lunch. After Lunch drive to an orphanage around
Kabale and then back to the camp for dinner and over night.

Day 12 TO BWINDI

After breakfast, take a boat back to the shores and drive to transfer to Bwindi national park. Dinner and over night at Gorilla resort camp/Buhoma Homestead /Buhoma Community Rest camp.

DAY 13 Day 2: GORILLA TRACKING

This is one of the awaited for day with one of the highlight activities of this tour. Well prepared with you packed lunch, cameras, water, rain jackets, long pair of trouser and jungle boots on, you will assemble for briefing from the rangers about gorilla tracking the great adventure and experience!  The time taken to encounter these peaceful primates is unpredictable for it may take1-10 hours. Nevertheless, on encounter, one may be forced to say, it is stunning!!!! After the adventure a certificate awaits the successful tracker. The day is not easy at times but appealing. Return to your lodge for dinner and over night.

Day  14 LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Very early in the morning, take breakfast, then have a drive to Lake
Mburo National Park having lunch at Mbarara Agip motel. Thereafter, drive to l. Mburo Np and check in at Rwonyo rest camp or Mantana Luxury tented camp. Have an evening  boat ride then get back to your accommodation facility for dinner and overnight.

Day 15 LAKE MBURO NP - BUGGALA ISLAND

An early morning game drive today will enable us to see the zebras,
topes, elephants, elands, impalas, buffalos antelope. Then take
breakfast at your hotel and then we transfer you to Entebbe for your boat to Buggala
island.          

After a crowded trip on the boat we will soon arrive on Buggala Island where we still need one hour to reach the Beach Hotel where we will stay the next day. The Island is hilly and has beautiful beaches. Especially for birdwatchers this Island is a paradise with all his eagles, hammerheads, hornbills and kingfishers. Perfect for a tropical and exotic first experience.. A nice walk on the Island is on the program, where you will meet the first local people, you will see tropical vegetation and a lot of animals. You will stay in at Mirembe  resort / Pearl garden on the beach.

Day 16 AT BUGGALA ISLAND

You will take a boat ride to Bukasa Island. Along the water way you will encounter beautiful stones, unique waterfalls, beautiful scenic views and a variety of bird species. The lodge will have provided packed lunch as you will return in the evening and laze around the beach after a full day ride on the L. Victoria.

Day 17 BUGGALA ISLAND

After breakfast Go for a forest walk and then back for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a canoe ride to another Island in the Ssese Island for Barbecue on the beach. A camp fire will be arranged for you on this last evening on the Island before your retire for dinner and over night at the Lodge.

Day 18 JINJA

Leave the resort very early in the morning after break fast at 0630hours to meet with the ferry that moves to Entebbe. The guide then will take you to Jinja where we visit the Source of the River Nile, Bujagali falls and a number of fishing villages.  Then get to the King Fisher resort Jinja/ Gately on the Nile Jinja   for dinner and overnight

DAY 19 KAMPALA CITY TOUR

Take a visit to the to a tea processing factory before you Transfer to Kampala for a Partial City tour that you missed on day 1 and later shopping souvenirs for remembrance in the city craft shops or even others. Dinner and overnight at Golf View Inn/ Imperial resort Beach Hotel.

 Day 20; NGAMBA

After break fast, head to Ngamba Island for Chimp viewing and then after you will take lunch .Return for changing clothes and refreshment after which the hotel will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
