Two of the country’s well known Mountains Rwenzori Mountains in the west, the third highest in Africa and Mountain Elgon in the east with the largest caldera in the world are found in opposite ends of Uganda. Mountain Muhavura is in the extreme south west and famous for Gorilla tracking.   • ELGON MOUNTAINEERING TOUR - 8 DAYS

  • 8 Days (7 Nights) trekking trip to the peak of Mount Elgon, an extinct volcano with the largest surface area in the world (50 km by 80km). Located in Eastern Uganda, the highest peak, Wagagai lies 4.321 m. It is the fourth highest in East Africa and offers a challenging experience to both senior and junior climbers. The Mountain is not so high and so there is no risk of high altitude related sicknesses as associated with the other mountains. Elgon can be climbed at any time of the year especially in the dry seasons of December to March and June to August however the best time is between November and December when the flowers are in bloom. During the trek, you can see several other striking features including the scenic Sipi Falls
  • RWENZORI MOUNTAINEERING TOUR- 10 DAYS

  • This 10 days safari takes you to the Rwenzori Mountains popularly known and described by Greek Astronomer Ptolemy in AD 150 as the Mountains of the Moon. The Rwenzoris have six peaks with Margherita-5109m being the highest peak on Mount Stanley. It is Africa’s highest range, rivaled only in altitude by the lone Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro. Ardent hikers who have tried out other Mountains say the Rwenzoris are the most daring in Africa. The trekking adventure will pass you through rainforest with monkeys and birds, bamboo forest, before leading to the high-altitude moorland zone, a landscape of strange giant lobelias, dwarfed by black rock and snow. Different large mammals exist in the lower slopes, but the Rwenzoris are favoured more for their awesome scenery and changing vegetation.
