UGANDA GORILLA TOUR - 4 DAYS GORILLA TREKKING TOUR IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
This 4 day Uganda Gorilla Tour starts and ends in Kampala. This gorilla tour can also be done on a private basis. This tour takes you to Bwindi Gorilla Forest for mountain gorilla tracking. Seeing some of the last remaining 700 mountain gorillas in the world is a fantastic and awesome experience. Gorilla Tracking in the ancient Bwindi Gorilla Forest will take place in one the four habituated mountain gorilla families. It has been noted that more than half of the remaining mountain gorilla population in the world live in this thicker tropical forest thus the chances of seeing the great giants from this forest are higher if comapared with other gorilla tracking destinations of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.
This gorilla tour also takes you to Lake Mburo National Park located Western Uganda. This park is a famous tour destination for birding tours, wildlife tours and spot hunting in Uganda. The wildlife tour through this park will involve you in several tour activities which include bird watching, game drives, boat rides etc
UGANDA GORILLA TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1: Lake Mburo National Park
You will be met by our tour guide after breakfast and then proceed to Lake Mburo, arriving in time for lunch. Canoe trip on Lake Mburo. Have lunch and then go for an afternoon game viewing tour. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Safari Lodge (FB).
DAY 2: Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Forest
Depart for Buhoma in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest arriving in the afternoon. Nature walk in the forest or relax at the lodge. Overnight Buhoma Homesteads / Gorilla Resort (FB)
DAY 3: Gorilla Tour in Bwindi Forest
After breakfast go gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Gorilla Forest. Gorilla Trekking in this forest involves walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. After meeting the gorillas, you can get close up to their family in their natural habitat. A few meters from the family, you can sit amongst them, watch them go about in their daily life! Tracking in Bwindi requires stamina and can often take most of the day. After the gorilla tour you can go for a leisurely nature or community walk. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma Homestead (FB).
DAY 4: Return Trip to Kampala
Early start for Kampala, retracing your steps through this green and pleasant land of Western Uganda. Picnic lunch en route. You will arrive in Kampala late afternoon (HB).
