UGANDA WILDLIFE TOUR - 3 DAYS WILDLIFE TOUR TO LAKE MBURO – QUEEN ELIZABETH TOUR

This Uganda Wildlife Tour takes you to two of Uganda's savannah parks for awildlife tour; Lake Mburo National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. L. Mburo national park   was gazetted in 1982 and is situated between the towns of Masaka and Mbarara. This park though being the smallest is unique in a way that it is the only park that encloses a lake. It is therefore from this lake that the park gets its name. This attractive scattered Savannah biodiversity is a home for huge Zebras and Buffaloes Elands topis among others which graze in these serene acres. At the lake, there are Hippos and a magnificent variety of birds.

Because of the dissimilar habitats of the lakeshores and the broad Savannah, the assortment seems endless. Catch a glimpse of water birds diving for fish, the Marabou stork, bee-eater , cheeky bronze-tailed starling , the majestic crowned crane and many other bird can be seen in this park.

Day 1: KAMPALA-L. MBURO NATIONAL PARK-QUEEN ELIZABETH

At 07hrs00, you will be  picked from your hotel or residence and leave  for Lake Mburo National Park take a stop over at stopping at Mpigi crafts and the Equator crossing. At the Equator, you will watch some men demonstrating an experiment to test whether water does in fact go in opposite directions down a plug hole on opposite sides of the equator. This experiment is evidence to show that the equator is the separator of the two hemispheres. Many people know that the equator is there, but being there after a short drive is worth while evidence! Take picture and then after proceed via Mbarara,  On arrival At the park  have a game drive  in search for the unique game like the Topi, Elands, Elephants, Klipspringer and Zebra. You will have your picnic lunch and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you descend to the park stop for good scenery point of the rift valley and Rwenzori Mountains. Arrive in the evening and check in at Mweya Safari Lodge / Institute Hostel for budget options for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: CHIMP TRACKING & LAUNCH CRUISE ALONG THEKAZINGA CHANNEL

After breakfast, go Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge where . This trek is rewarding with a variety of primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, blue checked Mangabeys, vervet monkeys and many other primates. Return to the lodge . Take lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise along the kazinga channel the  waterway that joins Lake Edward to  Lake George . Its banks are  is crammed with families  of hippos, buffaloes, with elephants at the banks. If time allows take an evening game drive to the crater area. Retire to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: GAME DRIVE-BACK TO KAMPALA

On this day, we indulge in an early riser’s game drive to search for animals that this park has in their natural habitats. Rise very early for a morning game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators – lion, leopard, getting back to their hideouts. You will be likely to meet grazing elephants, spotted hyenas ,the elusive leopards, bushbucks, water buck and stripped jackal, and of course the several warthogs.  Return to the lodge for break fast and then after, you will drive to Kampala, have lunch en route. A stop over the  tea estates in Bushenyi is a worthwhile!
