UGANDA CHIMPANZEE TOUR - 4 DAYS CHIMPANZEE TREKKING TOUR IN MURCHISON FALLS & KIBALE NATIONAL PARKS

Day one: MURCHISON FALLS
 A guide from Abacus African vacations will pick you up from your hotel in kampala and start the 4 - 5 hour drive to Murchison falls National Park. Transfer to the Glorious Top of the falls where you will enjoy your picnic lunch as you marvel at the Mighty Nile being plunged into a seven Metre wide fissure to thunder 45 metres below in a series of gush. The Nile can be viewed at different points up to the Baker’s Peak. Dinner and overnight at Nile safari Camp/ Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chillis Camp.

DAY TWO: THE LAUNCH CRUISE ALONG THE VICTORIA NILE.

After an early morning breakfast, embark on a half day game drive on the northern bank of the river Nile. With the help of our guide, you may choose  a game walk while sprawling animals and studying animal spoors. Game in this area includes Giraffe, Lion, Elephant, Uganda Kob, Harte beest, Oribi and a diversity of savannah and woodland birds. After lunch, take a launch Cruise for game viewing at close quarters. This is a paradise of the Hippo and Crocodiles. Return to your lodge for dinner and over night.

DAY THREE: TO FORTPORTAL

Depart for Kibale national park. You will pass through the Albertine escarpment have lunch en route. Then continue through African Rift valley. We will arrive Fort portal town in the late afternoon. Tonight you will sleep in Ndali Lodge/Rwenzori View guest house / Kanyankyu Ecological site (FB)

DAY FOUR: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING

A relatively early morning start, to report to the ranger station in Kibale National Park at 08.00am to track habituated chimps – these delightful apes, more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are tremendous fun to watch as they squabble and play in fruiting trees. The incredibly diverse forest Is home to over 13 species of primates including red Colobus monkey, the rare L’Hoest, blue monkey, grey mangabey, pottos, black faced vervet monkeys, baboons and also bushbabies. A network of shady forest trails provides much to delight botanists and butterfly lovers, while birders are in for a treat with 335 species recorded including the endemic Prirogrine’s ground thrush. The elusive forest elephant, smaller and hairier that its savannah counterpart, moves seasonally into the developed part of the park, while other terrestrial mammals include buffalo, giant forest hog and a half dozen antelope species.
After this wonderful experience, we will depart to Kampala arriving in the late evening.
