DAY ONE: MURCHISON FALLS

 A guide from Abacus African vacations will pick you up from your hotel in kampala and start the 4 - 5 hour drive to Murchison falls National Park. Transfer to the Glorious Top of the falls where you will enjoy your picnic lunch as you marvel at the Mighty Nile being plunged into a seven Metre wide fissure to thunder 45 metres below  in a series of gush. The Nile can be viewed at different points up to the Baker’s Peak. Dinner and overnight at Nile safari Camp/ Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chillis Camp.

 

Day Two: The launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

After an early morning breakfast, embark on a half day game drive on the northern bank of the river Nile. With the help of our guide, you may choose  a game walk while sprawling animals and studying animal spoors. Game in this area includes Giraffe, Lion, Elephant, Uganda Kob, Harte beest, Oribi and a diversity of savannah and woodland birds. After lunch, take a launch Cruise for game viewing at close quarters. This is a paradise of the Hippo and Crocodiles. Return to your lodge for dinner and over night.

 

Day Three:
Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will pass through the Albertine escarpment have lunch en route . Then continue through African Rift valley before arriving in Queen Elizabeth National Park. A game drive en route is rewarding with various herds of antelopes like hartebeests, the handsome Uganda Kob, Oribis and many others. Transfer to your accommodations for dinner and overnight either at Jacana Camp or Mweya Safari Lodge/ Institute of Ecology.

 

Day Four:
After an early morning cup of tea at 6:30am, go for an early morning  game drive on the along the Kasenyi track and Queens Mile .  This will give you chances of viewing the cats in action. Later, return for breakfast. In the afternoon, take another boat cruise on the Kazinga for solitary Buffalo, Hippo and other animals at the edge of the channel as they cool off. European migrant birds like the terns and gulls congregate here in large flocks. Return for dinner and over night at the lodge.

 

Day Five:
After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to Kampala after lunch  en route.
